Smart digital seniors

Digitization

A life without digital, electronic, internet-based tools such as online food ordering services, medical advice, online banking and social media is hardly conceivable in European society today .

The target group of older people (50 years and older for the purposes of this project) is also expected to engage with these tools and communication channels in self-study.

App

While acquiring the relevant knowledge and skills for operating and using these tools is often still possible with the support of family and friends, the effects of the coronavirus pandemic have shown that the target group of older people can only fall back on very little support in acquiring digital skills in the field of adult education. Apps and programs for video conferencing, communication, cloud-based storage services and coordination tools that are commonly used in everyday office life, and more recently, artificial intelligence applications, are often difficult for the older generation to access due to their complexity.

The project "Smart Digital Seniors" aims to counteract this development by transferring good practices, building a cross-border trainer network and offering regional training courses for older citizens.

This Erasmus+ project with the agreement number 2022-2-LI01-KA210-ADU-000094079 will run from 01/01/2023 to 31/12/2024.
